As of 22nd November 2025, the Government of India has revised GST rates for many items. This means item tax details need to be updated. Instead of updating each item one by one (which can take hours!), you can update all items under the same HSN code at once using the Update Taxes for Items feature in India Compliance.
This guide will show you how to do it in just 4 simple steps.
Why Use This Feature?
Whether due to GST 2.0 updates, periodic tax rate revisions, or changes in your business requirements, you may need to update item taxes from time to time. Instead of manually editing each item, this feature allows you to:
- Update all items linked to the same HSN code in one go
- Save significant time and effort compared to manual updates
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all items sharing the same HSN code
How to Update Taxes in 4 Simple Steps
Step 1: Find Your HSN Code
- Go to the GST HSN Code list and identify the HSN code with revised tax rates under GST 2.0, or locate the code for any item whose taxes you want to update.

- All items linked to this HSN code will be updated automatically.

With the Update Taxes for Items feature, keeping your item taxes accurate is quick and simple:

- Save the document
- Click "Update Taxes for Items"
This saves hours of manual effort and ensures all your items always reflect the correct tax rates—whether due to GST 2.0 or any other tax revision.
